My son bought a 2006 4Runner 2 months ago. After spending time fixing it up, he is finally able to drive it. However, the tire light is on and codes are C2121, C2122, C2124, C2125.

We bought 4 Denso TMPS from RockAuto and tomorrow we will have someone put them in.
We just now realized C2123 is missing. Does this mean there are actually 5 TPMS and the 5th is in the spare tire?

Is there a way to go ahead and put 4 TPMS in the wheels that are in use and program it in such a way to ignore the spare tire?
In other words, program it to only sense the 4 new TPMS?

We are going to get 1 more TPMS.
If 4 are bad, it is likely the 5th will fail soon.

All I get is this little box?!
Just bypass the system. Ingrain in your boy to do a walk around before driving. Yes I’m a boomer (even though I’m 32 lol).

I was going to say "I wonder about when they were made, the batteries may already be dead" but that closeup on the battery looks like it's super accessible. I could swap the battery no problem with my soldering iron.

Does this P/N work for a 2004? I heard they were different between 2003-2005 and 2006-2009 but can’t seem to find anything that backs it up as far as part numbers go.

edit: I did see P/N 42607-33012 is for 2003-2017 but are also $67 each.
