How long at the port?

@steelevo Thank you! He got me a screenshot which includes the railcar# and I'm able to track. Its going to be a minimum week later than the dealer told me, but I can at least see when it hits KC now on the rail before getting trucked up here!

 

Glad to hear that you were able to get the tracking info. It’s sad that your dealer didn’t update you but some people on the inter webs were able to.

 

An updated timeline from port to midwest:
Vessel Arrived Portland 1/13
Departed on Rail 2/3. Mine rode BNSF to MN and then down to KC.
Arrived 2/24, offloaded 2/25.

The dealer daily screenshot originally said Feb 20-Apr 8, while the Toyota Tracker app showed Feb 21-Apr 9. This morning the TT app updated to Feb 26-Mar 2. My schedule is PACKED on the 2nd so fingers crossed it's on the way up here now and I can have it by the 1st!

 

@HuskerRunner They are moving on your transport! Once the tracker shows ground, it will be at the dealer within 48 hours, give or take for weather/road conditions.

 

@steelevo its less than 200 miles away, I wish I could just go get it!

 

I have a deposit on an ORP at a dealer. I asked if they had placed a dealer sold requests (AKA order). I was told yes which I replied good so it was accepted.
I asked to keep me up to date on progress.
Question here should my next step be to ask if they have a number to track, (Do you have a VIN yet)?
Not sure of next steps in progres other than I have made it known I am willing to wait for T4R with must have options.

 

My ORP in the Toyota Tracker shows “allocation” status only. The freight status is the next possible category. The tracker shows arrival window as April 6- April 11. Dealer is saying April 6 solid and moved up from April 7 about a week ago. My impression is the dealer has more detailed information than the tracker displays? Or the dealer is just telling me the earliest day in the window?

 

Allocation status means that it’s still hasn’t been processed at the port. Once it has been processed, it will get scheduled a rail depart date and then go to Freight status once it’s on the train. Ask your dealer for a dealer daily screen shot. It will look something like this.

 

This is the railcar# but there's half a dozen or more prefixes it could be. If you get a screenshot PM me.

 

I've downloaded the Toyota app, put my VIN in and my 4R popped up. I'm not seeing where to find tire pressure, milage etc. I did make sure all my notifications is on. Where do I find the other information? Also, How can I track when it's on the train. Mine is going from Portland to Chicago. Then truck to Cincinnati. It made port on Mar 22. Anyone on the same train?

 

The TRD OR Premium that I am waiting on arrived in port today. It is coming to Indiana. Are they moving any faster than before, and about what has everyone’s average wait been? Sorry if this has already been asked, but I am getting excited. Thanks in advance.

 

My 4R hit port on Mar 22. I just got a window of delivery to Cincinnati dealership for 4.18-4.23 (per the Toyota Tracker as of last night)

 

Hello. I am new to the forum and wanted to share my purchasing timeline.
Build complete - 1/27/23
Depart Japan - 2/10/23
Vessel Arrive - 3/11/23
Port processing - 3/24/23
Out for delivery - 4/3/23
At dealer/pickup - 4/5/23

It sat at the port for a bit which left me wondering if there were issues getting onto a rig.

I got the '23 SR5P late yesterday afternoon. Here is a picture.

A few other tidbits I thought I would share:

1. When the vehicle was moved to "ground" status the Toyota system bumped out the delivery date by a week (which was frustrating). The true delivery date was closest to the first estimated date.
2. My 4 Runner came with a heated steering wheel which was not on the window sticker or Vspec. Nice surprise!
(adding) 3: I did get 2 key fobs, the salesman seemed a bit surprised by this.

 

My ORP had a heated steering wheel also. The Toyota 4 Runner brochure indicated to me I would NOT get a heated steering wheel. Nice surprise

 

I am patiently waiting for my dealer to call as well.
