I use these on the front: https://kimblade.com/main

The rear is why I'm wanting to know what you use. I know most people don't care. I understand that. Someone out there is as uptight as I am and has the best rear wiper blade. Would you please identify what the best rear wiper blade is?

I replaced my rear wiper with a new OEM one. The aftermarket solutions are kinda weak and require you to snap in a plastic foot into the arm vs the molded rubber foot on the OEM arm.

    Very confusing website.
    Bad translations and wacky descriptions.
Cannot figure out the price or how to order.

I went with the OEM rear blade. It was inexpensive on Joff Bozo's site, and I didn't have to worry about whether or not it was going to fit. I purchased another brand and it was missing the little tab that hooks the blade up and off the rear window. On the fronts I use Bosch because project farm told me to do so.

I just buy new wiper blade inserts for stock wiper blades in dealership. It's cheap, easy to install and works well.

There was another thread on wiper blades recently that had good info. My driver side blade started to streak so I bought two sets of new inserts (driver, passenger, rear) and had them delivered to a close dealership for way cheaper than buying new full blades from auto parts store. Haven't changed them yet but that was a good thread - I had no idea OEM inserts could be changed out and now I have a backup set for cheaper than one set of full replacements.

The originals lasted for 3 years/50k miles.

+1 more for OEM inserts. Cheap and easy to get on eBay and Amazon once you know the part #’s.

Are you guys talking about the OEM blades that have the plastic covers over the metal wiper frames?

When did they switch to those over the old style that was just metal?

The website sucks and the blades are overpriced, but they are the best. Until they license the patent they're the best game around.

This statement made me stop and actually watch some reviews. Intriguing design with the rectangular shape, but they don’t seem to be very durable. Out of curiosity, how long have you been using them?

    Define best.

My regular OEMs clean the windshield just fine. I mean what else do you need it to do.

Lots of folks on here prefer the OEM refills, as do I. In fact, I just replaced mine a few hours ago. They wipe consistently for over 2 years for me, which is around 40k miles. Aftermarket wipers don't hold up that long.

I have always replaced with genuine Toyota. They seem to last the longest on both the 4Runner and Tacoma.

How long in time have you been using them, mileage is subjective and not a true assessment of how long they will last in actual weather.

Good point. I've checked my log and they've only been through 31 rain events, 72 drizzle or washer fluid events (my system doesn't differentiate between the two) and no snow storms.

Edit: Ugh, my log doesn't calculate the exact amount of time the wipers were actually on. So, I still don't have a real world use data set and am still relying on the silicone to perform better than rubber just because it always has.

Based on the data, I maintain my subjective opinion that they are good, but overpriced. If I didn't just absolutely hate money and want to get rid of it so quickly, I'd probably go with the OEM replacement rubber part like the guys above recommend.

Thanks for the reply, knowing the amount of rain/water is helpful...but also know the amount of time the blades are exposed to just sunny days/UV rays is also a factor in how long blades last, UV does deteriorate wiper blades when they're not being used to clear water from the glass.

As a point of reference for the OEM blades, mine haven’t had a lot of rain event use (except for this season in CA), but they do get a lot of UV exposure and heat in CA, NV, AZ, UT.

They seem to be very high quality and they’ve never streaked when put to use. Regardless, I’ve gotten into the habit replacing the OEM inserts every two years even though they haven’t deteriorated much.

Based on previous experience with other manufacturers blades, when they haven’t been used for a while, I will lift up and reverse the direction of them in the resting position so they don’t take on a permanent bend. Even though they don’t seem to be affected as much as others that I’ve had.

I only use OEM wipers. I get the refills at my local Toyota dealer. Not terribly expensive. I bought it in 19. Only had to replace them once so far.

Clean 'em with white vinegar a few times a year and they last a long time. I'll let you know when I have to replace mine. Bought it in Mar. 2020. They have seen plenty of rain and snow. Don't know what the vinegar does. Internet hack that seems to work.

Has anyone used the MoxMotors blades? They are pricey at first but the replacement blades are like $5-10.

I think anything non-OEM is going to have a brand name or logo (another reason to avoid).
