I am getting a Bilstein 5100 front rear set up with Falken AT3 285/70/17 tires. The shop is recommending a BMC. I would prefer staying away from cutting. Do you expect rubbing? What else can I do besides a BMC to minimize issues?

    I run 285s without a BMC.

How tall are you going with your lift?

Do you plan on getting UCA's?

What wheels are you running? What's the width? Offset?

    Are you rubbing?

2.5 and would be happy to get UCA's if I avoid a BMC. Running Method 305 17x8.5, 0/4.75''

Also getting 2'' OME coils for the rear

A front lift about 2.5in will clear Falken AT3 285/70/17 tires on stock wheels with minor trimming. No BMC needed. Atleast for me.

Edit - **Even with stock UCAs.

When you say no offset......do you mean +15 offset (like stock) or 0 offset?

Edit: Just saw your edit. My response is below

    I personally think you'll need UCA's with a 0 offset, a 2.5" lift, a 8.5" wheel width, and 285's.

My recommendation would be to get SPC UCA's to have the maximum amount of caster adjustability with your stock LCA. You're going to want a high caster alignment for this set-up.

I think if you go this route, you can avoid a BMC.

Great advice on here already. I have a similar setup and have done alot of these recommendations pretty recently.
I'm running 285's on 17x9's, 0 offset/5 backspace. 5100's, 3" OME stock load 590lb 3" lift springs, SPC UCA's, at 2 years will prolly be time for my ball joint replacement kit, Icon rear coils 2"?, diff drop kit.
Before adding 1.25" front wheel spacers, 285s with 0 offset wheels didn't rub on body mount (I hear big neg. offset rubs) but did rub on mud guard (removed) and front fender (trimmed with dremel). After adding spacers it added classic body mount rub, even a little flex rub on fender mount and valance cap. Rear tires no rub ever.
Honestly, BMC was $300 CAD cash; SPC UCA's are a lot more than that. I said for a long time no way I'm doing a BMC, since I bought new, but it's actually not that's scary.

I think you'll be just fine. But you don't have SPC's so that could be false. My point is you might warm up to a BMC, if you got guys in your area, when it winds up being a relatively cheap solution. SPC's and competitors are a great investment for caster tho

That's all really helpful thanks. Thinking I will ask to set it up with stock UCA's first and then see what the rubbing looks like. Then I will try aftermarket UCA's and if that doesn't work, I'll move to BMC. There's a guy around here that does them a lot, but I don't know I also bought new and I am still hesitant on cutting it up so happy to spend a bit more upfront and have that peace of mind
