How long in port

I received an update that it arrived in port on Mar 22.23. Is there a way to track when it gets on the train and how long it takes to get from Portland to Chicago. Then from Chicago to Cincinnati?

 

A dealer in North Dakota told me it can be as quick as 2 weeks and as long as 2 months.

Have you tried searching? There are a lot of repeat threads on this forum because people don't search. When you get yours and wonder about remote start, there are plenty of threads on those as well.

 

Thank you, I did see that but since they were mostly 2021, 2022 I was wondering if it has changed at all. It's my first 4 Runner and I am trying to be patient but I am so excited!!!

 

My timeline from Portland this year.

Vessel Arrived Portland 1/13
Departed on Rail 2/3. Mine rode BNSF to MN and then down to KC.
Arrived 2/24, offloaded 2/25.
Arrived via truck 3/1

Autoracks are not a priority on rail so it will take longer than you think once it does leave the port, but if you have the vin the toyota tracker app is pretty accurate. At least was for me.

 

I tracked mine by activating the Toyota app. It would tell you when doors were opened. I know I got a notification (doors open) when it got to port and then a bunch a few days later. Then one when it was loaded on the truck and one when it arrived at dealership. Ultimately it is a guessing game. It took 9 months for mine to arrive...and I'm not a patient person lol

 

Hi Rachel, How did you do that? I downloaded the toyota app and put in the VIN #. The vehicle came up but it looked more like info for repairs and such not tracking.

 

I also would like to know how people are able to do this. Without entering the activation code into the OEM head unit, I was not able to find a workaround.

 

You've done the right thing. It will start popping up randomly. Mine looked the same way, eventually the mileage will pop up and then it will start popping up alerts. I know it's hard to be patient, trust me. But you'll start getting notifications...it takes a few days, even a week or so. I posted in here before, let me see if I can find it...I had the whole timeline.

 

Here was my timeline:
7/18: Arrived at port
7/19: Showed up on dealer website
7/21: Factory window sticker showed up
7/21: Switched to F Status (my salesperson told me this)
7/28: 4 toyota app notifications First 2 early in the am: 2nd two later in the day
7/29: 2 notifications 16 minutes apart.

It arrived at the dealership on 8/3: I got an "alert" when it showed up at the dealership.

 

That’s cool. And a little creepy.

 

A week ago my dealer was saying arrival of my ORP was 4/7. Monday this week they say 4/6. Today they say 4/3. Keeps getting sooner. Sounds good. The Toyota tracker still just says “allocation”. So dealer definitely has more detailed information.

 

My dealer told me the current window for arrival to the dealership is Apr 13-28. Today he said it is extended to apr 30.

 

My delivery date keeps getting pushed back; anyone else have that issue?
