Nice! Thinking about doing this in my '19 SR5P. Can I ask where you bought the head unit and how much it cost? Also, do you have a link to the Motorola wireless adapter. And last question ... direct plug in, or did you need to buy an adapter?

Need to do this to mine. Did you have it on a lift or just crawl under?

That's what I was thinking about using, two sets of "rhino ramps would give me a ton of room. I just need to take the time to do it.

Very nice! Do you know if I gotta do a good wipe off of bi-annual rust inhibitor spray from the frame and such, before Woolwax? Thanks

It's great. The only advice I'd give is to not over torque the hardware. Pretty straight forward install if you use their video.

i think it can't hurt to use a rust inhibitor prior , i did not because i had only minor rust and the woolax/FF will cut the existing rust from moisture/oxygen so it will not spread ( thats why you have to use one of these products that stay in semi-liquid ( tacky) form)

Put in a Heads Up Display (HUD) from Cartrimhome website. Went in fairly quickly in about an 1.5 hours. Needs a little fine tuning (mileage is off by about 2 MPH). I had one of these in my Tacoma. But of course, darn thing is made China and guess what?

The instructions were all in Chinese. Go figure. "Improper trade balance" my butt.

The one in my old Taco from KTJO4x4 website. This one is from same company that provides to KTJO. Just gonna have to dig around for the old instructions. Anywho, pretty straight forward install. There is an install video linked on their website (but no instructions -- again go figure).

Installed the shelves and prepped her for coyote hunting. Lots of room in these things just not much storage if that makes sense.

How does it connect? The OBDII port? I noticed today while using the Torque app today that it reads about 2mph behind the needle on the cluster.

No. The connects look like an OBDII port, but doesn't connect to it. You take apart the plastic cover over the steering wheel, and connects to a port in the steering wheel column, run the wires to the one fished through the speaker area, and voila!

If you fast forward to around the 3:45 minute mark, you can see how it connects on this vid:

The LFD crossbars are some good stuff. I installed mine last month. I've had no problems.

That is awesome! I’ve toyed with the idea of getting a setup like that. But I’d only really utilize or need the space for pheasant hunting and it’s more to just have a place to put stuff that’s not on the ground or in the ground way when I’m getting gear ready before and after a hunt etc. the shelf would be great to set down the gun and other stuffs. I just can’t justify the money. But if I ever had a windfall on f cash or stumbled across a used rig I’d definitely do it.

For now I settle with the basics:

That's the video I was looking at. It looks like there's other harnesses to connect to, but this one looks like a OBDII connector.

I had to go back and rewatch the video myself. Unless that blue port inside the steering wheel housing is the ACTUAL OBDII port (which is different from what was in my Taco), they look like OBDII connectors. And perhaps they are in some way this system is designed. But they don't connect to a traditional OBDII connector. Those harness all come part of the kit.

Nothing much but just happy to have the 4Runner with regular hatch so I and the stuff in cargo area don't get wet while unloading.
