Alright folks here we go, planning on keeping this build/thread going for a while as I have 0 intention on selling my beautiful rust free 00’ 5spd , picked it up this year with 166k original miles on the clock, 3rd owner vehicle with the majority of it being the 2nd owner from 2003-2022 and the vehicle has moved between Las Vegas and AZ, now to its new home it goes, the salt, Utah

Day 1 | 3/8/22 | Somewhere outside of Tucson AZ

3/31/22 After feeling the 22yr old shocks through my back for the first 2-3 weeks I decided I needed new shocks/coils so I went with the cost effective Bilstein/OME with 880’s in the front and 906 rear for a modest 2” lift, planning on upgrading rims/tires this coming winter

    More to come….

    First actual “mods” so far

did the air raid intake tube kit, cost me $0 after selling the 2 defective ones they sent me and just drilling/tapping out the 3rd one so I could install the fittings, actually made a little money and still have the stock isr tube if I ever want to go back

Also installed a short shift kit from LCE engineering this past weekend, tightened up the slop a lot and I love the sporty feel

Wheels are going on later this week, going to keep it conservative for now and get some 265/75/16 wildpeaks, also my power antenna was sacrificed to the bird gods as a falcon smacked mine while driving down the highway and turned it into a C, taco whip mod done :)

Oh and this happened last night (begin the rabbit hole) picked up a TNF low profile plate bumper off a guy on FB marketplace last night, decided I’m going need at least some 881 springs (currently on 880’s) so gonna set this aside in the garage and install it probably next month, since the front of the frame has to be cut 2” would you guys recommend boxing the front ends of the frame instead of just leaving them open?

This was a lot of fun to install (not rlly) but big thanks to the guy that modded this first gen roll bar to fit in a 3rd Gen with a cool cargo basket, hopefully we never have to use the roll bar but it looks sweet back here

My back is finally happy ( I’m 6’4 with a sunroof) had a local Toyota buddy help fab some brackets up for some Acura RSX type-r seats, Driver seat is mounted and solid! I may even have more storage space under the seat now but these feel nice!!
