    Good Evening everyone,

Owner of a 2002 Toyota 4 Runner SR5 that I would like to get new headlights and foglights for. I will post a picture of the truck below. Looking for full units, I plan on doing the install myself. Not really sure what to look for, I've heard LED's are very good but again I'mnot sure what to look for.

    Thank you all in advance!

Those still look good for the year! What about just upgrading all the bulbs?

do not put LED's in there please, they scatter light and blind the fuck out of others. Like @Caltech90 mentioned maybe just look to upgrade the bulbs?

I couldn't help but cringe at that guys $3 digital multimeter. It looks like a great write up though!

I didn't know if it would be better to just change the bulbs or get all new units. This is a birthday gift and I was told by person who offered to buy them that they will pay for new headlights.

Hey everyone, quick follow up question for you. What headlight and fog light bulbs should I start looking at? Not looking for anything that will break the bank, but looking for something that's pretty good quality.

Also point of note, my truck does have running lights so they are always on.

    Thanks everyone!

for just bulbs I have had good luck with the Sylvania silverstar ultras for the headlights and the silverstars for the fogs, usually got about 2 years out of them before they went. Good white light and great side to side visibility. I'm actually looking to put these in my 4runner before fall hits.

I tried LED in my Tacoma but they were shit, they started strobing not too long after I had them and they had no throw down the road, great intense light up close but they were a little scary at night on a back road. They were also about $200 and if when they went out the vendor would replace them at no charge but I had to pay shipping cross country and it was about 2 weeks down time before I got them back, such a headache.

I think custom retrofit headlights will look good on your rig.

I think you're going to be severely disapointed with the bulbs you bought. They might be ever so slightly brigher and slightly whiter but thats about it.
