Does anyone knows the difference between the radios below? They both came from a TRD Off Road premium. One is from a 2018(non-sd card) and the other one from a 2019(with sd card/navigation). Just want to know if the non-sd card will act like an apple car play/android by connecting you phone to it.

    19 did not have carplay.

But both models came with the usb outlet. If you plug the phone to the radio without the sd-slot, what would it do??

The SD slot is just for Navi info. When I plugged my iPhone into my 19 it would just show a generic play screen.

Does your radio has the sd slot or just the play button instead?

From what I understand 2020+ models have built in Apple Carplay / Android Auto into the headunit. If you want Carplay or Android Auto on your 2014-2019 you would need something like this; (or upgrade your headunit)

SD slot because the premium units had built in navi.
