Engine coolante temps

I have a 2023 Limited, this is my first 4Runner and I´m just getting to know it.

Once the engine warms up the coolant temps stay between 186.8 and 190.4 F (86 to 88 C).
I´m sure there´s no problem, still find it kind of low. Was expecting more towards 195 but what do I know...

What are you guys seeing?

 

I don't have a readout setup so just the middle of the dummy gauge. I'm sure yours is fine.

 

Mine is not in the middle, it stays one bar below or before the middle.
I also think it´s fine. Just checking.

 

That's pretty much where my dummy gauge sits too (2021 Limited).

 

Given the increments, I'm guessing you have an Ultragauge? I have one for my Tacoma and it gives the same increments.

The Scangauge in my 4R usually shows water temps under 190°F as well. Toyota trucks seem to have very efficient cooling systems. The trans temps also stay pretty low, takes almost 30-40 minutes of normal driving for the trans temp to become steady-state.

 

I use Torque App, don't have the plugin to read the trans temp. I'll check out Ultragauge

 

I'm at 186 to 196 F.

 

Normally 186-188. I have seen up to 197 or so sitting in traffic on 90+ days in the summer.
