Nothing against the new calvary blue color....but I'm glad I pulled the trigger and picked up a cement while they were available.

Pretty sure the first picture is the Ultimate Edition, Heritage Blue FJ. That color is a little more subtle than the cavalry blue and would make a perfect choice for the TRDP as a last year color, as this was the last year special color for the FJ. The Cavalry Blue was offered on and off throughout the FJ lifespan and can be kind of dynamic in the sunlight. Not normally a blue fan, though I wasn't a red fan either but I sure do love my Barcelona Red TRDP :dancingbacon:

From my ear firmly planted to the ground ...Toyota sales are up - No major changes for 2018 (Maybe 2019) - Cement has gone blue - Contrary to what I heard early - No safety stuff like the RAV4

First impression is that cement and quicksand look better...I don't hate the blue though.

Too close to cement. Army green would have been my first choice

Just a heads up, this is a photo shopped image of a cement that was originally posted on T4R.org

It is a nice color and would look great on the trail/trd offroad. And the dark blue would have been my second choice if white was not available. But on a TRD Pro blue and black and hints of red just looks awful, no matter what shade of blue.

Need to remember that Toyota treats their various divisions a bit differently. I recall talking with a 4R owner here (Auburn, Wa) recently...Asked them how they liked their vehicle - they said all was good but they had a terrible time in the snow last winter. (Huh?) I then learned that it was a 2WD and they were from Southern Florida (apparently 4WD is rare there....like a 2WD Runner is unheard of here. My sources tell me that 2019 will be the year for Gen 6. As someone from FL i can agree to this. All Limiteds are full time 4x4. All trail's and pro's are 4x4 (obviously). But to find a 4x4 sr5 down here is impossible.

Now that we know the 2018 is coming, is it time to get the rumor started that the 4-Runner will be discontinued in 2019?

A friend of mine in NE Ohio is telling me some dealer told her if she placed an order now she would get a 2018 6th gen that gets 27 mpg. I felt bad having to sink the ship but what kind of yo-yo toyota employee does that crap still these days?
