Just got my vehicle back after a 4 wheel alignment and not my 275's are rubbing at full lock during reverse. This was never an issue after the alignment when I got my wheel, tire, 5100 bilsteins installed, followed with an alignment at the same off road shop. What should I do? And also my steering is slightly pulling right when driving after the dealer alignment and it never did that before. Should I call the dealer?

If you were satisfied with the alignment from the 4x4 shop, cut your loses and go back to the shop you can trust rather than start BS from the stealer blaming it all on your modifications.

I didn't even go to the dealership even when my brand new 4Runner had bad alignment. I think my TRD Pro had bad alignment & wheel balance because wheels, tires, suspension, etc fixed here in the USA and dealership don't have good workmanship. I paid my own money for wheel balance and alignment at my trusted shops.

yeah you guys might be right. Sucks. But lesson learned :/
I do feel if I call back the dealer, they will blame everything on my modifications. Guaranteed, even though when I checked out, the rep said "they pretty much got your alignment spot on" . SMH

I’d call the dealership, you have already spent your money, are you satisfied with the work? I’d at least let them know that. If you let the do a shitty job they will.

It is your aftermarket stuff causing it. The alignment being “spot on” is likely centered in the spec range and even left to right. With your mods you want the caster as high as possible, not set to spot on for OEM specs. Higher caster moves the wheel forward away from the mud flaps.

It’s a very specialized service on 4runners. Rear axle is removed and placed on a press and bent to the correct angles ;)

There are no rear adjustments from the factory on these.

    Wow that’s a terrible explanation.

    - You’re not “rearranging” anything, you’re making minor adjustments that are typically small fractions of a degree.

-No matter what you always adjust the front end, a 2 wheel alignment is done when the front is adjustable and the rear is not.

-A 4 wheel alignment is done anytime the front and rear are adjustable, the drivetrain configuration is totally irrelevant. FWD, AWD, or RWD doesn’t matter, if that chassis has adjustments for the rear you do a 4 wheel alignment.

    - You don’t adjust the front so the wheels can travel parallel to the center of the car, the front wheels are adjusted in relation to the rear wheels.

    - Thrust angle adjustment is how straight and square the rear wheels are the body and is set via rear toe adjustments. This is why you always start with the rear on a 4 wheel alignment.

Plus some side notes - step one is proper tire inflation. If they actually follow the requirements pretty much every vehicle calls for a full tank of fuel and/or weight added to certain areas of the vehicle. The steering angle sensor should be readapted to the new mechanical 0 point set by the alignment. 2WD, 4WD, and vehicles options comes into play because they may have different alignment specs. And there’s no such thing as live caster readings, you need to do a cater sweep to get a value, any adjustment is showing a calculated estimated value, you have to redo the caster sweep to get actual rate results of your adjustment, it’s tedious.

Internet search engines are quickly becoming useless nowadays.

Given how much content is “written” by bots that produce roughly believable articles/content devoid of any usable details, and any given search engine’s commercial motivations, it’s best to assume that you’re being sold a bill of goods with every search.

Absolutely, yes. This sounds like a good opportunity to determine whether or not you want to give them your business again.
