5th Gen Hood with scoop trade or buy

Hello,

I am going to be an owner of a new 5th Gen 4runner - I am looking for some direction towards either a OEM 5th Gen hood with scoop or what is available for aftermarket that you trust.

I am also willing to trade my brand new hood for a hood with scoop preferably white.

FWIW, I came across this quite expensive carbon fiber option a while back when perusing T4R accessories. I've never seen it mentioned and found it at least interesting. I would imagine it's quite a bit lighter than OEM steel if that helps to justify price. I saw one of these on another Lime Rush 4Runner in person at Westcott Designs parking lot when getting some work done. It seemed to be nice quality (I've been around a lot of carbon fiber in my day). It's not particularly my taste, but it was nice.

 

I could see how it might work with certain vehicle colors (white, silver) and maybe black wheels with blackout emblems. I would have to see it first though and like you, I don't think it would be my thing.

 

This might work on an MGM 4R.

 

Good call. MGM is probably the best color for that hood.
