First off thank you for anyone that replies, I’m new on here. My forerunner was making a strange noise, and I tracked it down to this part that I have attached. A picture of the noise was sort of like a ratchet, kind of noise0 or an antenna trying to go up. There was a phone type Jack that was connected to it. I took that off and the noise stopped, but I don’t know if that’s a vital part that I need to get replaced or I can do without it. Any ideas would be appreciated

Do a search on the number that's printed on it - 063700-7550. Looks like it's the actuator for the air blender, meaning it directs the air to the window, face, feet, and combinations of those depending on your selection. Maybe the noise you hear is the result of something binding. Looks like the Toyota part number might be 87106-35070.

I had the same issue, although it sounds like it’s from that black box, the issue is with the power antenna mechanism, and it’s actually going to be right behind your passenger side fender. You can access it from the wheel well by peeling back the splash guard. There is a plug on the mechanism, easiest thing to do is unplug it, but you can also take it out and fix it, or replace it with a fixed antenna. It’s quite easy once you get it. The video below will show you everything you need

If you’re just going to unplug it, you don’t need to do the antenna cap portion of the video
