Hey guys. I saw a 4ᚱunner with a bull bar today and now I'm determined to get one too haha. I'd like something to mount KC lights on (not a fan of light bars ) or if the armor at least has an extra set of fogs so I can turn them on by themselves. When its densely foggy or snowy I can't see very good sometimes and wish I can toggle the fogs without the low beams on! I don't trust Amazon so what are some good sturdy brands you all suggest??

I'd skip the bull bar. They reduce your approach angle and often cause more damage than they prevent (in the event of anything other than a shopping cart hitting it).

Oh I didn't think of that. What about KC lights mounted in the lower grill then? I've seen people do hidden lights but those were on Rams... I always thought it was a cool look and maybe help not blind onlookers as bad!

I forget the brand, but companies do sell mounts that you can install behind the grill and mount your lights to.

Welcome to the forum from Wisconsin!

I can't recommend a bull bar, but a few companies make strong, low profile steel bumpers that actually bolt right to the frame. They generally offer cutouts for light bars as well.

Great pictures, BTW! It looks like your 4Runner is living a good life. :D

Ohhhh yes steel bumpers! I've been thinking about those too but have never seen a 4ᚱunner with one I liked yet. My husband has a low profile bumper on his truck after a guy rear ended him and it just looks so good. Then he got rear ended again week later and ... well let's say the steel bumper won :headbang: in the concrete jungle we worry about bad drivers and in the country we worry about deer... it's a vicious cycle

And thank you, neighbor! It feels good to compete with the Jeep crowd hahaha. They're everywhere in Michigan... especially our stomping grounds in the UP!

The low profile steel bumpers are all kind of similar. As far as full steel bumpers, there are two that I really seem to like. But, I'm happy with my half bumper for the time being.

Mine is an SOS concepts, but I believe some people had issues with them recently. Also, the fitment of my skids was way off. I think they made great products at one time, but I'd avoid them now.
