    So yesterday I test drove a 2000 limited 4Runner 4wd , absolutely no rust . 250k miles , needs a new timing belt for sure . Also possibly will new the gaskets need to be changed soon as I saw some small leak on the side of the engine . Had a new radiator and Coolant was fine as well. What made the inspection easy was I already have a 2001 Tacoma , practically the same 3.4 engine and I’ve done all the needed repair’s lately. So here’s my questions . When I drove it 4R felt like a very heavy vehicle, very slow on the stake off once I reached 40 mph it elevated rather quick after . Also the steering wheel felt like I had to use some muscle to make right and left turns . Is this normal? I’m just comparing it to my Tacoma , but that’s a 2wd.

    also he’s asking 5.5k , the interior is not immaculate but ok for an off-roading project . Is the price fair in this market ?

    It does have rear diff , and the 4wd works smooth. I don’t think it’s ever been used

    Yeah, the 4r is heavy and it feels like it.

    Steering shouldn't take any "muscle", but it also isn't dainty one finger turning either. It's not a complicated setup. So unless, it was groaning, or had some goofy suspension work, it's probably working ok.

    $5.5k is in the ballpark for a 4x4 no-rust 4Runner.

    Most junkers I see go for more now.

    there was some suspension work done on the vehicle, that might have been it . I appreciate the response

    No rust, rear locker & it runs. That would not last a day in my part of the country, northeast.
    Where are you located? Hell, I may come buy it if you don’t want it!
