    Hi,
I'm repairing my rear bumper cover. I found white paint ( tricoat) for the white sections of the bumper (very pricey :) ) but I can't find black paint for the top part of the bumper. My black paint is in a good shape and the only blemishes that I can see some minor scuffs so ideally I would like to find the paint that is compatible with OEM paint so I can spray on the top of existing black paint. Also I'm wandering what type of clear coat to use. The clear coat that I got as a component of tricoat paints is high gloss and black finish is matte.

Are you talking about the plastic part of the bumper that’s right under the liftgate? Commonly referred to as a scuff plate? If so, that doesn’t have paint on it. Tape it off when you paint your bumper and leave it alone afterwards

    Have you considered vinyl wrap?

I'm talking about flat horizontal part of the bumper. You can see black paint in the pic

I’m pretty sure that’s just held on by clips and is a quick replacement. I wouldn’t wrap that either or paint it.

It’s not. It’s part of the bumper. Non-removable. All molded plastic

Get the Krylon Fusion for Plastic paint just clean surface real good and do one coat at a time let it dry to a tacky surface then do second coat don't try to get it done in one hit.
