Magnetic Gray (MGM)Thread

Searched a few different ways in this forum and didnt find any color specific threads. There's one for every color and gen on Tacomaworld so thought I'd start one here. Its a great way to see inspiration for your rig. Show off your MGM's below!

I'm still 3 weeks out at the minimum so this is all I've got.

 

I have a lot. You don't need to ask me twice.

 

My previous 4Runner, an '03, was "Phantom Gray Pearl", which seems like it was very similar to MGM without the metal flake. One thing I loved about it was how it would appear differently depending on the lighting conditions. MGM seems to have this quality, also. I'm very happy with it, personally. It's super common, but for good reason.

 

I'm still waiting on mine. Was told mid March. So we're getting close!

 

My Taco is a silver streak metallic and I'm a huge fan of silver cars. Classic Silver was my #1 choice but I said I could live with MGM if it was optioned right. Got a call the next day that an MGM had been allocated and my wait went from 4-6months to 4 weeks so I said yes. The more I look at them, the more I see what you're talking about @Thatbassguy

 

Yes it’s true that the MGM does look different depending on how much sun, shade, dirt, etc… there is on the truck. Something I didn’t know before I got mine but I quite like it

 

I gotta ask — when you MGM guys drive down the street, and you drive past a sidewalk café, does the silverware fly off the tables and stick to your body panels? Are jewelry wearers momentarily garrotted by their necklaces as you pass by? Can you use your magnetism to draft behind other vehicles on the highway? Any other superpowers we should be aware of?

 

I usually pull up behind a semi and put it in neutral until I reach my exit.

It's also nice when you drop a tool into the engine bay, it gets sucked out and sticks to the fender for easy grabbing.

Here's my 2022 Off-Road in MGM.
I've had it one full year now as of Feb. 4th, 2023. No regrets, haven't had one issue with it.

 

KentuckyRunner - I've got a 2023 MGM/Graphite Limited that looks almost exactly like yours. I also have the mudguards and the running boards. I've got the Nightshade running boards - - look exactly like those - except they are black on the sides instead of chrome. I drove a 2010 Tacoma TRD Sport for 12.5 years before this. That truck had the trail boards on it and I really liked them - so wanted those on the 4Runner - but found out they are not compatible with the Limited rocker panel - and didn't want to remove or alter it - so went with the running boards that were specifically for the Limited trim. I really like how these running boards have a thick, grippy, rubber surface on them - they work very well.

 

Love the MGM , very happy with the 4 runner too, just over 24,000 miles. Owed for 28 months.

 

Not sure if it's a Canadian version thing, but my running boards are all black, even on the sides. In Canada there is not an Off-Road Premium package, but our Off-Road has pretty much every Premium option.

 

I came here to search for pictures of FX FN Pro wheels for my stock ass MGM TRD Offroad 2 year ago...I hate ya'll lol!

I havent followed the sports car world for a while. Is that a ferrari? Custom coachworks or production?
