Rear cargo net

Hi, does anyone here use the rear net in their hatch area? PT34789100 is the part number I have and it fits extremely tight between the top hook and the bottom D ring, almost seems like its going to break. I triple checked the PN fits my 2018 2 row.

 

I do when I go to Costco. It keeps my melons from rolling all over the place

 

yeah I don't want my melons rolling all over anymore. Were those top and bottom connections extremely tight or is it supposed to have some slack

 

It has some give. I actually normally keep it up but I take it off when traveling out of town. Not a fan my my bourbon bouncing around either.

 

I have one and use it every time I pick up groceries or really anything that I don’t want rolling around. I leave both top and bottom on the right side connected and just fold it back to the right out of the way when I don’t need it. I find that adequate for getting it out of the way. When I do need it I pull it across and only connect the top, rarely the bottom. Works perfectly and the weight of whatever I put in it keeps the left top from coming off. When I’m done with it I just pull it off the left top and push it all back to the right out of the way.

if I do feel it necessary to connect both points on the left I do the bottom first since the top just slips around the contact point.

 

Have had and used one for years. Wouldn't give it up.

Very handy at the grocery or big box to keep your stuff from knockin' around. I ran a bungee cord from one D ring to the other, thru the net. That helps hold the bottom in place when the net is loaded.

Best thing about it? I don't have to chase the tomato soup down the driveway when it falls out as I open the end gate...

 

I have the one from Toyota for my 2022 with 3rd row.. very handy ... especially when stuff is shifting while driving and doesn't self unload when i open the back hatch... mine is not too tight on top or bottom attachment points and has some give for larger items

 

I ended up buying another one and sent the first one back, same part number and it fits perfectly now so it must have been some mix up or just made wrong

 

Anyone know of a good flat net for the cargo area? I don't like the vertical nets.

 

I ordered a cargo spider net from BAM awhile back. Worked well when I needed it, less than $30.00 (PT347-89101)

 

Not a fan of the vertical nets. The horizontal nets make putting boxes or larger items under it easy and keeps them from sliding.

 

Yes, I understood. This is exactly what you’re looking for. Look up the part number I gave you. Don’t be deceived by the first picture that shows it being used vertically.
