What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

my wife’s Elantra has a compass showing the current elevation.

i know we have a (crappy) compass as well on the 4R. I couldn’t find anywhere how to display current elevation. Is that not an option anywhere?

if not, anyone knows an app that can display the elevation on CarPlay? I know I can use my phone to see it but I’d rather access it through the 4R screen if possible

 

They probably have more staff nowadays. Not sure what you mean by products working or not. It's that kind of unnamed skepticism that hurts local businesses. I disagree that each users experience varies. If products work then they work. Figuring out how to install is a different story. But whatever. I just don't hear anyone question other businesses on here with the same ferocity.

Completed installing my Old Man Emu BP-51 lift kit that I got as a Christmas present. Here is a pic following the installation.

 

Installed RAV 4 side mirrors. Very easy but useful mod. These should have been stock.

 

what is the difference?

 

They include blind spot mirrors built into them. They're legitimately awesome, and I wish I did the mod years sooner.

Nice! Got mine installed just before the holidays and have been very happy with it. Will be curious to hear what you land on for your settings throughout your experimentation with them. Are you starting at 0/0 front and rear? I think mine came set around midrange but have backed off that completely for now and am impressed.

 

I have a heart condition and need to watch the altitude here in the west. I installed an altimeter from Amazon made by Sun Instruments.

My '23 OR has blind spot indicator lights on the factory side mirrors. Would I get some additional functionality from installing these other mirrors?

 

I couldn't get used to them, tried them for two weeks and sold them.

 

I bought the CTM Convex mirrors. I like to see my rear tires when in reverse without needing to adjust anything. For me, the Rav4 mirrors would be better if the convex part was in the bottom corner instead of the top. With the stock 4Runner mirrors, I had them adjusted so I could traffic from other lanes.

I’ve had these mirrors installed for almost two years and they’re still working well. It takes a little time to get used to the driver convex view. Watch out when merging left, “objects in mirror are closer than they appear”!

 

Suspension installed. Will adjust after settling. This should’ve been my first mod.

Today I replied to the dealer email that my 4Runner is in, tires will be swapped tomorrow (Toyo AT3's, stock size since 275's are backordered), pickup will be saturday.

 

I've had the same ones on my 4R for a few months now. It took me a few driving sessions to get used to them. Now it just seems "second nature." Prob one of the few thing from there that was actually worth the money. And install is relatively easy. When I had my mirrors disassembled I also changed out the puddle lights to an LED. Killed 2 birds with one stone.

 

I saw this and thought about it. Do you like it? Is it too big, too small, or does it seem adequate size? Where did you put yours, right above the clock? Any pic would be appreciated

 

After a few days of driving I got used to them. I typically won't merge into a lane in front of anyone unless I can see them in my rear view mirror from the other lane.

 

Do those come color matched?

Installed the Meso dual color LED map and dome lights. Definitely make a huge difference.
