Pinstripes, lots of em. Plus a couple dents.
I use Red / Race 6 on pavement and turn it off altogether for off pavement.

Of course, all electronic & mechanical devices can fail; usually human error is involved, not operate the device correctly as pointed out in the manual.

I have the Pedal Commander, I was reluctant as well, now I'm an advocate. I don't use the sport + mode, just, sport 3 and the lag is totally gone. Awesome mod. Installation took me 5 minutes.

Pedal Commander, much the same as SB.

The drive-by-wire system eliminates the conventional mechanically operated system that had been used since the beginning of the cars. The standard mechanically operated accelerator pedal uses a cable attached from the pedal to the throttle body. When you pressed down on the pedal, the cable opens the throttle plate, allowing air to pass through into the engine. The engine RPM is directly proportional to the angle of the throttle plate.

With drive-by-wire, the cable is replaced by an electronically controlled system using advanced electro-mechanical actuators. In place of a cable, an accelerator pedal position sensor is connected to the accelerator pedal. This sensor determines the position of the accelerator pedal and signals this information to the vehicle’s ECU, in turn, commands the throttle control motor to open or close the throttle valve.

I bought the SprintBooster and had it ready to go for when my truck arrived. I drove the 4Runner once without the SB. Over 1500 miles with the SB and as stated before on this thread, it's how the 4Runner should have come from the factory. Sport 6 for everyday and Race 5 for more "pep". I have it set to the left of the engine start button and must have accidentally turned it off once....I thought something had happened to the truck, it was so laggy. Opinions will vary but for me, it's a necessary add on as it brings much improved driving experience.

Anyone recommend a good place to buy this SB for a 2023 4runner?

Go with a HikeIt. Cheaper and does exact same thing. If you want a used one for much cheaper send me a PM.

Burman Industries. I now have over 10k happy miles using the Sprint Booster on my '21 4R. Get it; you won't regret it.

    On order
Question: If you install a SB, and then remove it for a warranty claim or service, will the dealer know that the ECU has been overridden by the SB and possibly void your warranty ?

I doubt it. It doesn't actually override the ECU. It only manipulates the signal from the pedal to the ECU.

Yup. I have one, I love the Auto mode, and I actually like the eco mode as well. No issues with it after a year.
