Seems like previous owner had something installed and put back the harness, is it possible its on there wrong making it stuck.? Thanks

What vehicle ya got? Biggest issue I had on my '19 Runner was getting my 77 year old back to tolerate the 5 minutes it took to install. Unless somehow the connector "fused" in place it's usually just depress the tab and pull the connector up and out..

It is a pretty tight fit. Try pushing it back down to reseat it and then try to disconnect it again

I have heard of guys unbolting the gas pedal. I think it's 2 bolts. I installed my Sprint Booster the hard way, not unbolting the gas pedal. There's not enough room to get proper leverage. Jiggle and wiggle and pull, making sure the tab is depressed. Patience is the key. I feel your pain.
