I am hoping that the 17' 4Runner has a improved navigation app that allows full screen navigation without automatically returning to 2 or 3 app screen like my 16' Taco. Anyone know if you can run the navigation in full screen mode and it stay full screen ?

Unless I'm reading this wrong, all you need to do to get the Nav in full screen is press home, then click on the Nav and it's in full screen until you press something else.

That is what I would think also but my 16' Taco goes back to the home screen with the two or three windows within a minute

I can confirm that my 2016 stays on the full Navigation screen until I press something else.

Thanks, maybe its an issue with system. No worries I hope the 4Runner I am picking up will do what you are saying. Thank you for the clarification you can image how irritating it is.

Yeah that would drive me insane. Try testing it out on the lot, but I'm damn certain it stays on Nav.

I believe there is a setting in general options that makes this happen. If you uncheck the box on "auto home screen" you should be able to leave it on whatever app you choose. Just got my 4runner less than a week ago but I do remember seeing this setting. Lmk if it works!

Yes this is true, there is an option to make it stay nav full screen. Or return home, i have mine set for full screen nav.

I feel like there must be an option in the settings for the Tacoma. My husband has a 16' Tacoma and has no problem with navigation staying up.
