Slid down an off camber trail. Turned into the slide and kept the RPMs up. Kept the truck perpendicular and from rolling over.

Only superior driving skills, traction boards, cooperation and the good Lord's hand. Kept this a self recovery. Not a rollover and recovery.

I almost rolled over from the suspense of scrolling through the empty space lol :p

Congrats on working the problem, both during the slide-off and during the recovery. Really shows that keeping your wits about you really pays off, because it’s not over till it’s over!

i think it was Bob Hoover, pilot extraordinaire, that had a lot of wisdom on what to do as sh*t is the process of hitting the fan. “Fly the airplane all the way through the crash”. Basically, you’re never a passenger. You are in charge of the vehicle all the way until it stops. Never give up control until that happens.

    Hey OP,
Did you try engaging crawl control?

I did. 1st pic shows rear tire best. Cold granular snow, slick tread filling mud, with long wet grass equaled zero traction. Even tried all MTS selections. Traction boards, cooperation and determination won the day.

Lol, no big deal. The extra scrolling really did add to the suspense of it all haha.

That might have been a situation where being chained up would have helped to avoid the drama.

Possibly. I do want to get a set of chains. The ratcheting ones look sweet.

Mine has been doing this a lot lately as well. It just randomly adds spaces and makes it suuuuper hard to post.

Sorry about my amateur question in advance.
But is this off the trail? May be that's why you got in to trouble since the ground is not packed and have no prior tracks to keep the tires in the ruts?

Kmeeg... I was "breaking" on a trail. 2" of snow maybe. It was an off camber trail. Tires lost grip and we slid off the trail. Down the embankment. Also no ruts on this particular part.

I remember my first trail; glad you composed yourself and kept a bad situation from getting worse!

    Are pictures missing?

There's tons of...empty space between stuff?

Good question. I just about gave up on the thread because scrolling down, and down, and down, there was nothing...

Jesus Christ, Mags, learn how to post. This is worse than that time you made like 20 separate posts, each with only one photo. And you know, if you're going to post about "superior driving skills," that it is fair for us to roast you, right?

But GJ getting out of that on your own!
