E-Brake light on

Hi! First time starting a thread here-
I have a 1998 4Runner and recently the emergency brake light on the dashboard has been on, it will intermittently go off after going over a bump in the road, but will come back on shortly after.
The e-brake is not engaged. Brake fluid is topped off.
Any ideas on what could be the issue?

 

You are in the wrong forum if you have a 1993. You need 2nd gen 4Runners.

 

New shoes?

 

I don’t know if it would trip the light but, the level in the master cylinder is very picky.

 

Pretty sure the e-brake is not connected to the MC. He said he has an e-brake light.

Does a 93 have an e-brake light or a low fluid light like the 3rd gens?
