Looking for installation tips for the aftermarket blackout kit I just got for my T4R. Other than cleaning with alcohol, should the car and overlays (tape) be warm, hot, cool?

Tapes vary in temperature range, I've seen some say 55+ degrees
In general warm and clean works well. I probably didn't need to but put a drop of silicone inside each letter also.

Do the OEM black overlays (PT948-89200-02) fit on the 2017 TRDOP models? Every site I've checked that sells OEM states it only fits 2018+ models. I emailed the vendors and they can only say Toyota states 2018+. From what I can tell, 2017 isn't any different from 2018+ but I just wanted to make sure before I spent $129+.

Since there are a few maybe unanswered questions in the thread. I ordered the OEM blackouts. Cleaned emblems with alcohol. Held a hair dryer on each for about 30 seconds before applying. Waited a few weeks before running through a car wash and nothing even remotely came loose. They are more or less permanent without deliberately trying to pry them off.
