When i picked my truck up Toyota had 58PSI in them I thought that was crazy considering my 2021 Silverado 2500 duramax runs 60PSI with E range tires. Wheels def are pricey but what isn't today. Fuel has some nice offerings

I read somewhere (probably here) that the tires are over inflated for shipping on the boat (maybe something do do with strapping the vehicle down securely) and that the tires are supposed to be deflated to the proper pressure at the port before final delivery.

I guess that makes sense but doesn't the dealer do a full once over of the vehicle ? I would think that would be a part of a new inventory heck list.

I think such a checklist exists. When I took delivery of my 4Runner I’m sure a few things slipped through the cracks.

I'm running the exact same size wheel with the same offset, but I'm running 285/70R17s that are a true 33" tall tire.

Beautiful combo, but when I inflated mine to around 45 psi for a road trip to see what kind of mileage I could get, I was surprised at how much the rig wandered and felt sketchy. Normal pressure was 38 psi. Now it's at 35 psi and feels much better.

Unfortunately, most people have no clue as to how tire air pressure affects handling and traction, so you get some doofus running a great tire and then bad mouths it because he had the pressure set incorrectly.

I wish I would have gotten the 285s, I dropped my PSI down to 35 seems a little better. I haven't had a chance to do the chalk test because on my day off It rained all day. what size lift do you have to fit those 285s?

I have a 3" front and 1.5" rear and it was perfect with the stock rims. With these and the offset and extra width, there is a lot of rubbing on the driver's side front bumper. I need to do some more trimming.

But, it looks sweet and I get tons of compliments everywhere I go...

So I finally got around to doing the chalk test. It appears 33 pounds is the psi these tires want to see. I live in NJ we have terrible roads. And I’m finding the more I drive it that it’s grabbing the crowns in the road at this point. Thanks for all the input guys.
