How to tell if I have remote start?

does anybody know how I can tell if my 01 runner has remote start? I was looking online for an after market remote start and an OEM remote replacement kept popping up. Right now I dont have a remote fob to try it ,so I dont know if it has it or not. by the way mine is a 2001 limited

 

Remote start was never a thing for 3rd Gen 4Runners, not from the factory or the port.

Any aftermarket controller will be tied to an aftermarket system (that any one individual could've installed).

Only way to tell is by looking for an aftermarket control module and/or aftermarket wires on your own vehicle. That or information provided by the previous owner(s) assuming you aren't the original owner.
