I liked what he did with my winch so much that I'm back at Budbuilt in North Carolina getting rock sliders installed on my 2022 limited.

While I'm here I thought you might want to see the other 4runner they're working on.

Very interested on the rocker trim piece finish especially rear wheel well area. I've seen front wheel well end cap but not rear. I bet just like the last project they will do a fantastic job.

SR5/TRD rocker panel not installed? End caps not installed?

That other build is documented on T4R.org. Pretty cool stuff. Looks like maybe a roll cage is next for it

Yep. They're doing a full blown roll cage. It's seriously amazing in person.

New armor with trap door installed - now I'm looking forward to changing my oil instead of dreading the factory skid plate.

As expected, Budbuilt did a superb job.

Looks great! I removed the rocker trim on my wife’s when I installed her sliders. Thinking of keeping the Limited rocker trim on mine if I can make it look as good as that!

Very nice. That's the first time I've seen that rocker panel trimmed to fit the rail instead of just removing it...

That does look really clean. On mine (C4 sliders) I ditched the bolt on lower rocker piece and had to trim the rear door end cap as the slider impeded opening the rear door. No biggie but something to watch out for if others are looking at sliders on the LE.

    Cheers,
    Mike

Your thread inspired me to have my local shop do a similar trim when installing my BudBuilt Rock Sliders. I love that hidden winch they did for your rig!

The winch looks like it came from the factory. I love looking at it everyday and I love the piece of mind it brings. No one else could have done a better job and I'm very very happy Bud decided to take a crack at it.

There's a build thread somewhere on this forum. Bud has taken a 2019 4runner and transformed it. All the work is custom
