Oil filter size

    Hello everyone. I went for oil change in a local garage. The new oil filter they put in was shorter, it didn’t cover all of the center tube. About 1/3 of center tube was sticking out. I don’t know how oil filter works but they told me as long as the diameter fits it’s gonna work. What do you guys think?

    agreed replace asap and do your own oil. I dont trust anyone to do anything right anymore, including dealerships

    They are morons. That tube is part of the clogged filter bypass system. OEM filters are cheap at the dealerships. I would change it and take the old one to them and give them a few words. Here is the correct oil filter for the 4.0 liter.

    Oil Ultra Filter #XG10158 walmart has tons of them. Thats all i use in my vehicles
