Has anyone been running these and have some good real life feedback on them?

While it's very nice to see you again I was hoping for a little more than a wave... lol.

The only thing that concerns me is the way you can slide the ball joint and then lock it down in place. Seems like a lot of pressure on that one nut and I was wondering if it comes out of alignment easily.

Saw a Land Cruiser wheeling at an offroad park and the top adjustment slipped. Camber all jacked up.

Had them on my Tacoma, no issues.

Personally witnessed 3 other sets (2 4Runners and a Tacoma) have their top adjustment slip.

I'm not sure if this was the alignment shop not tightening enough or what. 50/50 success rate with the shops having someone competent to know what to adjust.

Personally if you don't need the adjustment skip them. If you do, find a good shop and make sure they give it an extra ugga-dugga.

I’ve read that the design of the SPC UCA’s requires using wheel spacers to keep the tires from rubbing on them. True or false? I don’t know, but that was enough to turn me off.

False. Just research wheel offset and tire size.

Sorry was walking into a meeting.

I have a little less than 50K on mine including some hard wheeling. I will be replacing the ball joints at the end of the month, but i try and grease them every 5k miles. No real complaints or issues. I do take the truck to an alignment shop that has a lot of off road and experience with SPC.

I also hear good things with Icons delta joint UCA and Dirt King ball joint UCA. IMO uniball UCA are overkill for what most of us do...plus always keeping them clean sucks lol

Good news, thanks. I've got a killer alignment shop here that sees PLENTY of rigs being that we are in Southern Utah 20 mins from Sand Hollow.

    Agree.

I run Ironman UCAs because they use Toyota ball joint ad require no maintenance, plus use rubber bushings. I mainly appreciate low maint and simple designs for the mild / medium work I make my truck do.. Friends had Icon Delta Joints or whatever they are called, also nice. Others ran Total Chaos, also nice. I would avoid uniballs because they always let dirt in.

To the OP who bought SPC, it's a really quality UCA, I just want to keep things as simple as possible. You shouldn't feel worried about ordering them, they are going to serve you well.

I have them as well. They seem to do the job and give you a little more space for adjustments etc. I was concerned at first that they were a bit thin but after running them for a year, I am good with them. Seem like a good choice.
