Trd pro exhaust

I just go the trd exhaust installed today and I can honestly say it's the worst mod you can ever get on your 4runner. It’s so loud I believe I will be deaf before I get home. Taking it off tomorrow

 

Yup. I did the same but it lasted 3 weeks because I was seeing if I would get used to it. I have it up for $133 off the price but people want it for like $10.

 

If anyone wants a TRD exhaust with 50 miles on it let me know lol . Can’t believe how I wasted my money

They installed a Walker on the RS I love it. I think that’s what’s on the 4R.

 

Lol I mean they need to drive a regular 4runner to see how to maintain your hearing. It’s crazy

 

You know what they say? “Loud Pipes Saves Lives”.

 

It's not loud on the outside but it is loud in the interior. I drive normal so it's usually at the loudest RPM. It does sound good when you floor it though.

 

Yes, but I am trying to get to work not sit in the parking lot flooring my vehicle lol. It’s so loud in the interior I was shocked. There need to come out with a better exhaust design because that is terrible for what they charging

Maybe have a resinator welded in before the muffler, or in the tail pipe section. What's $200 more on a $800 a exhaust.

 

Well if anyone with the TRD exhaust wants to swap for stock in the Seattle area, let me know.

 

spend more $$ on exhaust parts! I know a guy that screwed with several different units to come back to stock.

Sorry I’m 3rd Gen owner. It’s a more simple lighter silent affordable exhaust. You won’t hear it as I “walk” away from ya.

 

I'm going to try Magnaflow next. The TRD can rot away in storage until I get a reasonable offer.

If you still have the stock muffler, you can cut & swap the tailpipes. A good exhaust shop can swap the flanges at the tailpipe so you can keep the side exit. My trd pro muffler only & tailpipe flange is sitting in my friends garage now.

 

LOL, i grew up calling them "Slowmasters". Always got loud but hit a brick wall to slow you down.
