No lights for moon roof

I've noticed the switches for the moon roof do not light up when the lights are in. Is this normal? I just bought this about 2 months ago. Didn't notice until I rented a highlander with a moon roof when I was out of state working.

 

2022 limited, mine don’t either.

 

Toyota has been interior light challenged for years. In my 2010 Tacoma, the ATRAC button you couldn’t see without lowering your head is lit but the 4wd knob you could see was not lit.

 

My roof switches don't light up.

 

Drives me crazy.. er.

 

Any after market options, if there was a swap, I’d for sure consider it.

 

Ironic, it isn't lit? considering it’s a moon roof…presumably for letting the moon in…at night…when it’s dark and stuff

 

I get it, it would be a minor distraction while driving at night, but from the looks if it most people drive around with the dash and infotainment system on super nova brightness any way. If it would dim with the rest of the dashboard, it would be kewl.

 

LAAAAAAME! weird how the highlanders moon roof switch lights up. Stupid Toyota.

 

Well, there's your problem - you got a moon roof instead of a sun roof. It doesn't light up because, well, you know, sun vs moon...
