Really liked my Tacoma, with offroad mods for Baja race chasing/support. Never failed us, over 8 years, always did its job.
    Had a MB300 for wife's car, and trips - a great solution.
I got older -now 79- and we decided to go with one vehicle and retire from race team!
Bought a used 2015 4Runner Limited, with 40,000 miles -- best vehicle we've ever owned. Somehow way more responsive than Tacoma (maybe previous owner did some tune/throttle mod), and "feels" way faster.
Now at 70,000 miles. Other than new tires and battery, no issues. I recommend 4Runner to anyone who'll listen. No issues with suspension - handles great at any speed -- even those "not recommended for "Senior Citizens!

I would agree the 4.0 V6 has a little more pep compared to 3rd gen 3.5.

While I still have the tacoma now, I am considering either the Tundra or the T4R.

Our Tacoma SR5 had the 4.0l Six - Same motor, but different feel - and we had TRD air intake and exhaust on the Tacoma!.

My 2nd gen tacoma from highschool had the same setup. Wish they kept the 4.0L in the newer Tacoma's.
