Went car shopping found exactly what we wanted. It's a TRD Off Road Premium with Predator package. It took about 17 days to get it.

How much over MSRP did you pay?

What happened to the Predator steps? Good looking rig though. May wish to check and see if they forgot to install them.

They took them off and put them on someone's ORP that asked for them

Its quite a world when you can say I paid MSRP!
The Predator Steps ...so my 24 year old son is blind and severely handicapped. The predator steps perches surface or step surface I thought was too narrow or short for him to get into the truck. If he misses and steps on the round bar portion of the predator steps he would potentially slip and thus fall. So, we opted to replace them with a more flat running board. I have the predator steps in my garage ,never used.

I wonder if you would check locally to find black color OEM running boards? They might look better than the ones you have yet a safe option than predator steps. (I don't like predator style steps either)

These are factory Toyota running boards. I don't think you can tell in the picture, but they are black with a silver trim piece. The step surface is flat and looks rubberized to me. They were dealer installed. I have those all black ones on my Tundra which you reference. I think the black would look a little better too ,but I am not disappointed either in these .

Yes yes. I got those with my SR5. They are very good as a step but didn't like the silver trim piece. I wish I had those black OEM ones.

I needed something safer also and opted for the same board. The predator would not work for my 81 yo Dad. I think it looks much different on silver wkrh chrome though. Just my opinion. Now they have the same board in all black without aluminum accent (the accent is black). This all black board is same make and style as alum accent but was not available in 2021.

It works well though for my Dad and that’s first priority

I was talking to the Asheville dealer Fred Anderson and at sometime during COVID Toyota encouraged it's dealers not to sell outside their market area. At one point Fred Anderson would sell vehicles to anyone. Maybe those days return and y'all up north can come down here for the predator package . It basically turns the TRD ORP into a near Pro truck sans the suspension and pro logo skid plate .

This is my second 4 Runner and 96 hours into ownership we love it . Thanks for all the warm welcomes. I am native Floridian ExPat living in the mountains of NC . The wife loves the color and it's growing on me.
