LED lights over license plate

Can anyone see why this wouldn't work on a Gen 3 4Runner?

If you can bolt it to your runner it should work. Just make sure which ever bumper you have on your 3rd gen, that your bolting it to metal and not just the plastic piece of the bumper. You'll get way to much vibration if you bolt it to only plastic.

 

Vibration is what I thought would be an issue as well. Great idea though. Price is definitely right.

 

Can I get the specs of your runner. Year/trim? Maybe a photo. You might be able to get the bar on without purchasing this piece. On my limited I was able to bolt it directly to the bumper and hide the support underneath.

 

I have a 2000 SR5 Sport 4Runner. There is no chrome on the bumpers at all. See pic below

 

Perfect, so that piece right in front and below the grill is metal. You can use that piece to mount a bar in front of your grill or you can mount arms underneath and have the light come out that large void on the bottom of your bumper.

You have to make a decision, what to sacrifice, either you wanna keep clean look and hide LEDs or make them more visible and get that more rigid look, by the way you do it on truck with at least mild suspension lift and some different rims, so it looks all customized, you dont wanna end up like those wannabee buying all stick on accessories from autozone , look around and check what others did and choose the best option you like to see on your truck, ever consider to move turn signal in an upper corner, you can use bottom openings for smaller led bars, or dual squares and still keep clean look. if you have 20 to 27 inch bar , still it can be install in the bottom opening, there is plenty space there, once you start messing with the top grill, you have to change or make more other things to fit. Don't know how much knowledge or tools you got?
