I apologize. I'm new to this. I just bought the SUV of my dreams. And looking for some advice. It's an SR5 2017. And it's metallic black. I want to trick this out I want to look a little tough in a little classy. LED lights front brush guard with Winch lift tires rims etc. etc. etc. any suggestions with name brands and best quality would be greatly appreciated

You'll need HIDs in your low beams and LEDs in your high beams and also in your fogs. I went with the 5000k xenon depot kit for my low beams and Auxbeam LEDs in my fogs and high beams. If you want to have the fogs match exactly to the low beams you'll want to go with the xenon depot low watt bulb. I have the Auxbeam h11 bulbs in my fogs and it puts out a a lot of light but I tent to get high beamed at times. I live in the pine barrens so the extra light is great considering the amount of deer we have. As for interior LEDs I used sylvainia Zevo 6000k bulb, I had a bad experience using cheap branded bulbs so I was willing to pay a little more for piece on mind. I also used the zevo bulbs in my rear plate and reverse lights. Checkout my Instagram page to see the pics of my light mods. Jerzydevil_4runner

    For starters, go here:

    https://www.4runners.com/threads/5th-gen-armor.1532/

And what do you mean "LED lights"? Do you want light bars, or to replace your headlights with LEDs? I'm assuming you want light bars or ditch lights or something, because IMO, replacing the halogen lights with LEDs is a terrible idea (leds in halogen housings just throws light everywhere and tends to blind other drivers), and you already have HIDs, too.

As I mentioned above. I'm completely new at this but I would like to add extras to the forerunner. I just need advice on the type of lift it doesn't have to be a giant one of the 2 to 4 inch lift I want to put larger tires on
I also want a really good quality front bumper/brush guard with a winch.
So I'm just looking for a recommendation so I can start looking around

Look through the thread I linked to. That should get you started on bumpers and rock sliders.

There are still questions you need to answer (most for yourself, but telling us will help guide you in the right direction):

    1) What are you going to use it for?
    2) Will this be your daily driver?
    3) How much (if any) off-roading do you plan to do with it?
    4) Are you looking for actual off-roading performance or the mall crawler look?
    5) What's your budget?

The options very widely depending on what your endgoal is. If you want the mall crawler look, get some coil spacers and some 33's, and lots of chrome. If you want actual performance, then you've got a huge range in price, from ~$300 or so for Bilstien 5100's (adjustable shocks on your stock coils) all the way up to multi-thousand dollar race ready remote reservoir coil-overs and 4-links.

    Also, look here for tires/wheels:

"Mall Crawler" thank you so much for your help. I live in Northern Wisconsin. Plan on using it in any one of a number of ways. Camping, hunting whatever strikes me when I go home.
You have singlehandedly put a bad taste in my mouth for this forum.
What do you care what my budget is or what I intend to use it for.
You, Sir, assume too much. I was just looking for friendly advise.
    Don't take yourself so seriously

How am I supposed to have ANY idea what would work best for you withOUT those questions? Do you want good advice or a shot in the dark type advice?

Look, the numerous types of lifts/wheels/tires/bumpers (basically everything you can buy) vary widely based on what their intended purpose is. There are a LOT of lifts out there where ALL they do if lift the body higher just to put big tires on it (nothing wrong with that, just a statements of fact), but can actually ruin the driveability and dependability of the vehicle if you want to off-road with it. Then there are lifts out there that are good and cheap, but don't offer a ton of performance, but are an improvement over stock (the bilsteins I mentioned), then there are a lot of top end full on race-spec type kits where your next stop should be the Baja 1000.

    What?

Spike, I would advise doing some research to see whats out there. Having a general idea of what you want will allow you to ask the right questions for us to give you a good answer.

Dude, he was only trying to help you. Someone needs to chill-ax. And, he responded again, trying to help you. About 90% of 4 runners are "Mall Crawlers". I know mine is. LMAO

Yeah, if I'm not mistaken, 4runners have been coming with HID mains for a while now. Most new cars do.

Unless they are just cheap knock off look-a-likes, but I don't think so...

Mine for sure is a mall rated, but I don't plan to lift it or anything either. It's strictly a daily driver and tow vehicle. I have a Tacoma that will see 90% dirt now that I have my mall crawler. ;-)

Every time I lifted a vehicle, I regretted it almost immediately. No more lifts for me.

For wheelin, you generally want the minimum lift that (with some trimming) will fit the tires you need. For 90% of people, that would be 32's, maybe 33's. A ~2" lift should easily fit 32's. To fit 33's you could likely leave the lift as is and trim a little bit.

You go too big a lift to fit those huge manly meats, and all you do is make the thing top heavy. I mean, a 6" lift with 35's looks cool, but will tip over when wheelin...

So: bad ass lookin' mall crawler = 6" lift and 35's, but if you want to wheel with it, stick to about 2" and 32's or 33's.

Have a F-350 king Ranch dually that I leveled and that seems fine. But when I strap the Toy Hauler to it, I had to bag the rear end to compensate for the leveling. I just can't win. Lol.

    That damn budget.
For me, being of senior age and close to retirement, means that '16 4R will only get better tires.
I can't compare it to my not so highway friendly Jeep TJ, but that's a different story.
