Hello everyone. Just need some information on Transfer case and differential oils.
I am about the change the oil on both today. I have 80/90 for the rear what is a good oil for the transfer case. Thanks.

None. Bone Stock. EXCEPT: Brushguard, tow hitch, both welded to the frame. It's good to have friends and a fully equipped garage!
From what I understand, and I am FAR from a gear guy, it's not just the weight, but also the GL-X rating. I believe, IIRC, that the Manual transmission and transfer case, require GL-4, and the two punkins need GL-5 oil. I realize this chart specs out GL-5 all the way around, but I've read a number of threads to the contrary.

Having said all that, I may well have the GL ratings bass-ackwards, but I don't think so.

Have fun pumping oil in :D

I used Mag 1 from the dealer. Might want to change crush washers?
