Similarly, I am sometimes glad that I could never afford a crotch rocket when I was in my twenties. :anonymous:

I waited till I was 40 before getting my motorcycle license. That first year my brother bought a used Crotch rocket and didn't have his license yet, so asked me to drive it home for him. What a fun ride, but it's clear I would be dead if I drove one again. I could not believe how fast it would accelerate, not even sure what the top speed would be, but I can say I think that's the fastest I have ever moved outside of a plane.

Yes, those things are amazing! Years ago, my brother had an older Yamaha 750 crotch rocket. He let me ride it once, and I could not believe the power. I don't think I ever hit full throttle with it.

That's actually what made me want one.

The only thing I have ever experienced that has felt similar is my buddy's LS swapped Sonoma.

Same; I have some misgivings about the wife's Sienna, but with a full take it has a 500+ mile range, and gets 35+ mpg in city or on the highway. I could handle similar benefits in a 4R with very little discomfort.

Bought a Honda CBR600RR in my 20's thinking "I'll save on gas on won't ride it like a maniac". I'd never ridden anything other than a bicycle and the guys I learned to ride with in the mountains did regular track days so the learning curve was steep. I ran it into a ditch about 2 weeks after I bought it used and then laid it down in the mountains about a month later (uncle had to come with the winch on his jeep and pull it back up the mountain side - no guard rails on that road back then). After that, I was golden. Kept it about 3 years until I realized it was just an expensive toy I couldn't afford (i went through 3 sets of tires in one year). It was only good in the mountains because highways would wear flat spots in center of tire - so much for that gas savings. I know it would go 151, heard it topped out between 155-160. I miss a bike every spring when they come out of storage and hit the roads.

He wants some crown moldings that’s the only reason he contacted me.

What he really wants is to start a crown mold, rails, kitchens business and have me run it then pay me $8 a hour. I know how you guys think.
