Do you keep your OEM cross bars in your OEM roof racks all the time?
Do they produce much extra noise?
I have them in wife’s Sienna and just don’t notice them.
Have ‘23 SR5 Premium due in October with this ordered.

I ran mine for a year before upgrading to a Prinsu rack. They were fine, even with the moon roof. The rails have suggested crossbar locations to minimize wind noise.

To install the crossbars you need to remove the rear plastic covers by prying them off. Be careful when doing so as the sheet metal there is thin and you can easily dimple it.

I've had mine on since I bought it 3 years ago, and don't notice any noise.

that was what i was wanting answered. Thank you
Slight problem with order. Just noticed unit coming with 3rd row and don’t want 3rd row. Back to drawing board

    EDIT:
Changed to TRD OFF ROAD PREMIUM (for sure only two rows). Really ready. Due 10/10

SR5 premium cannot be with 3rd row. Check Toyota build

I had the third row option available to be chosen when I sat at dealer and built mine…

Not true unless something has changed at Toyota. The Off Road and Pro could not option 3rd row, SR5 & Limited can.

    Incorrect, I own a SR5P w/ 3rd row.
SR5, SR5P and Limited, can have 3rd row.
    Pro an OR, ORP cannot.
Not sure about the other one off trims.

But to answer OP. the factory crossbars are not noticeable, that being said I have not driven one without them....

Enjoy your ORP! We bought a 2022 in March and couldn't be happier! Did you get KDSS?
We have the Factory cross bars and haven't noticed any problems with wind noise. With our Yakima rack mounted is a whole different story.
I would say the '22 is much quieter and comfier than our old 1999 SR5 4Runner.

No on the KDSS. REALLY 4wd overkill on the TRD part. Would have been happier i think with the simple version but i was ready to get in a 4Runner.
This will be driven most miles between Texas and Florida. So at about 20k will put even softer tires on it for the road (thinking Michelin?).
Wanted 4wd just not so much 4wd. No idea what to do with it as most would be some soft sand at the road near beach (no beach driving as must enter drawing and have Florida plates). And to old to rock climbing.
But really happy have one coming.

We don't use 4 wheel drive often, so don't need all the TRD off Road bells and whistles (I do like the mechanical 4x4 shifter tough). But KDSS was the main reason we went with the TRD as you can't get it on any other trim. We drove our nephew's 2018 SR5 and found the body lean on turns really off-putting and worse than our 1999 SR5. KDSS made a big difference, and also good off road too.
