Auto trans dipstick

Ok so my trans dip stick doesn't have makings on it, just a ways up stick has notch's I think there's like 4 of them. And why does this dipstick have so many freaking bends and turns in it? That I am told are normal. Oops its 96 3.4L 4x

 

I meant markings not makings I really need an answer on this stick. I just don't want to mess up this 96 yeah its got alot of miles but I just love it. Everything works all power windows moon roof hatch window ac drives great uses a lil fluidsi just can't get it right w this f... Dipstick I'm bout to lose my mind with this

 

Should just be a FULL and LOW for hot, and FULL and LOW for cold.
