I'll check the video out, but I'll go out on a limb and assume the average driver lacks the skill to take advantage of that. I can imagine modulating power around corners with the front wheels pulling can assist cornering, but I can also imagine that would put an equal number of drivers into the ditch when they either over or understeer in that situation.

It’s situations like this where drivers benefit from the 4Runner’s muddy fly-by-wire throttle. And if you have a Pedal Commander or other throttle response controller this is the time you turn it off…

Anybody tried Multi Terrain Select in snow? I heard it’s not bad.

Maybe I'm just a bad driver I have experienced one time my Rav4 over-steered (correction - under steer) on a downhill corner. I feel so much better control on corners with the 4runner.

If I want to play with the 4runner and press gas I love how the back end comes around. Never felt helpless like the Rav4 over-streer like a FWD car.

I have a PEDAL COMMANDER installed. Researching on their site, the ECO MODE seems to stabilize the throttle response for snow/ice. The website says "to go into ECO mode, you need to press and hold the yellow program button for 3 seconds. This safety feature is meant to keep you from accidentally cycling into a mode with a drastically slower response." TY for your response. When driving thru the snow to my daughter's house, I will not be the rabbit, but rather the tortoise.

I didn’t know the Pedal Commander had a special mode for snow. That’s great.

Just to clarify, do you mean understeer?

From his post, it definitely sounds like he’s talking about under steer

Sorry. yes it's under-steer. I straighten the corner. LoL

The little overhead card on the visor talks about how to engage the 4hi. "Engage". I think I skimmed past that word and took the dealers words for it when they said to keep it under 50 when in 4hi. Its for engagement! ARGH!

That’s literally the voice I use when I go into 4wd. Except I add “numbah one”

And when you push the diff-lock button you say “make it so?”
