Does anyone use an inclinometer? Tilt/Roll viewer? I'm considering one for leveling the 4R for rooftop camping. Anyone have any experience or recommendations? Or does the 4R have this capability already? I know in the older vehicles there was one on the dash, didn't know if the 5th gen had one in the electronics.

Nope, nothing stock. I’d like to have a nice set of pitch/roll indicators myself. Would love to see any pics of anything anyone has mounted.

Ah dammit. I think I found my solution.

It sucks that it’s needlessly complicated to have a vacuum driven gyro-stabilized artificial horizon, but seriously, kinda exactly what I want.

The only other option is a nice set of bubbles…to go with the submarine vibe. I’m only partly joking.

“ten degree down bubble, aye sir!”

edit: now that I think about it, bubbles are the way to go. No need to set their zero.

I have this cheap one off Amazon to keep my eye on the angle.

I would suggest the 45' degree one I have on the above pic vs my 30' degree angle one below. It max out easily on trails and no risk of roll over at 30' degrees for me (not responsible for any injury or damage).

Oh nice! Maybe I'll just cross mount some 6" levels on the dash! Does that piece from the plane come with an altimeter?

There’s an app for that. Many in fact. My favorite is called Vehicle Clinometer by iAware. What I like about it is that the user can specify the degree settings for two levels of alarm. Of course you’ll need a nice sturdy cradle.

Not necessary and can get you into trouble because that RTT brah would decrease your rollover angle.

No need for a vacuum system with this one!
