I'm looking into getting cross bars, as our 21' ORP didn't come with any. I've read that the OEM ones are junk. I'd love to hear of some aluminum or stainless options that utilize the OEM roof rack rails.
I found info on a guy who came up with "Niserack" and it's exactly what I want. Of course he's not currently making them though. I can't find many options that aren't powdered steel.

These would be used for general hauling, not a RRT.

I seem to remember a vendor other than Niserack that uses 8020 extrusions but I can’t remember the name.

Why are you averse to steel. Is the issue weight or corrosion?

    LFD makes stainless ones.

I'm don't know why it needs to be aluminum. You are still limited by the roof rating so its not like you should carry a shit ton up there.

Honestly it's because of corrosion. I edited my post as SS would be fine as well.

I edited my post, as I should've said aluminum or SS. I can't find anything on LFD's site that fits the oem rails. Their SS bars are only for their complete rack.

Check out GreenLane Off Road as well. Donovan makes great stuff and the USD is still strong enough against the CAD that the price is competitive.

Those look nice, and they are aluminum which makes them lightweight and corrosion resistant. But how are you supposed to get underneath to attach a fastener?

I imagine if you know what fasteners you will use, you install those loosely prior to mounting the cross bars to the roof rails...

From the product pictures, it looks like the GreenLane bars have a long slider that goes inside the roof rail, so it has to be easier than the LFD bars. I had a set of the LFD stainless bars, and while they were great once you set them up, the notched ends where the bolts went into the T-nuts and the small T-nuts themselves made them frustrating to adjust.
