[IMG] Anyone else have this type of slave cylinder on their 2nd gen 4Runner or is this only on land cruiser transmissions?

Does your 4runner have a Landcruiser transmission? Or, do you have a Landcruiser?

They might be a part number stamped on it.

I’m pretty sure I have the land cruiser transmission I’d have to have another look at transmission

Did somebody swap a Land cruiser drivetrain into your 4Runner?

Side note: The Land cruiser wasn't offered with a manual transmission starting with the 80 series (1990+) in the US.

If you have something other than a 4Runner transmission in it, your best bet is to look for part numbers stamped into the transmission and/or the slave cylinder.

I’m pretty sure I figured it out it’s out of a 80s 60series land cruiser

That's odd. The 2nd gen was available with an MT, so I wonder why someone would put a transmission from an older Landcruiser in it. Toyota sometimes used things in multiple vehicles, so maybe the 60 series Landcruiser used the same manual transmission as the 2nd gen 4Runner?

It was most likely done to handle a the bigger motor that’s in it
