Finished the Ironman FCP 3" / 2", now waiting on the bumper, after that level and alignment. Also looking for a good Wheel/Tire combo, but looking at all these rigs I have no idea how to decide

I am not a fan of the 20" wheels or the fascia on the Limited. But god damn man, that looks great.

Added a rear storage door that should've been oem. If anyone is interested I can post a link to the product. Two panels and a high quality push button. All that's required for installation is two self tapping screws that come with the kit

Not really easy, that's right comes wit water spray bottle and squeegee. Blow dryer plugged into rear outlet. Allows you to pull up and redo tho

Problem in Canada, can’t find the rims I want in a zero offset, only -12 for RRWs and -25 in Black Rhinos. And I’m fine to do the -12, but worry about rubbing with stock suspension and stock size Toyos. Wish we had a chart for stock size tires and rim offsets.

-12 would be pushing them out and away from the suspension. I have -12 RRW and I had to take the wheel spacers off because it "stanced" the 4Runner more than I wanted.

Well yeah! Wheel spacers plus a negative offset wheel. That would be an insane amount of pop out. Might as well do it right and get long travel.

Added some RCI armor including the cat protection. Also added wheel spacers and a less aggressive-than-some viper cut.

Be careful with where you have your recovery shackles as it is my understanding that it is not rated for recovery.

Thanks and yeah, I'm aware. It's more for the red accents up front and to have some shackles that are easy to grab. It'll be a while but the plan it to get a proper bumper on there. Without getting divorced in the process, that is.

Although I just noticed the post from 4Daughters above with those Apex recovery points. I may have to look into that since the bumper will be a ways off.

Who cares? This never shows everything anyway.
I have the Treaty Oak ones. Either one's better than the tie-down points. Will the tie-down points fail? Probably not. Are they a potentially unsafe tool for the job? Yes.

Following is a link to a helpful article. They’re affordable, have a promise of strength for recoveries, and they also look cool! Scott Brady at Overland Journal suggests the first two off road needs are good tires and good recovery points. I have much to learn and am building the 4R slowly.

They have the standard ones in stock but not the KDSS ones. So I'll have to see if I can find them elsewhere. The Treaty Oak ones that Gamma Ray mentioned don't say whether they are KDSS OK or not. For the money though, I definitely want to get these. I've only ever had to yanks others and fortunately I was able to do it with a d shackle on the tow hitch. But you never know when it's your turn or you need to pull from the front.

I bought a knob on Amazon and then found a website that makes custom boots and I had them make me one for the Taco. I had it made in blue because I'm going to have the red thread on the knob redone in blue.

Afterwards, I bought a small saw and cut out the same design on the taco shifter and glued the boot to the bottom of the shift housing and voila.

Went with the aluminum. It's a daily driver and my urban escape vehicle. I thought about steal because it's more affordable but I didn't want to add too much weight.

Pushed the fender liner inward. New wheel/tire combo rubbed in reverse at full lock. Did not have to trim the bumper.
