Looks like the Channeled Scablands in eastern WA.

 

Very similar! Both created by water and channel erosion. Haven't been to the Scablands but it's on my list now. Can you drive through?

 

Many roads and towns throughout. Small and not so small lakes. The scablands resulted from the Missoula Flood, volcanic eruptions, and glacial movement. Many "glacial erratics" along HWY 2. Try to drive along Crab Creek (check an atlas.) Stop at Dry Falls

Many off-road/trails. On Hwy 2 through Banks Coulee has a "buffalo jump on the right side.
North of HWY 2, towards the Canadian border, there is a spot where a wooly rhinoceros was encased in mud. Also North of HWY 2 is a line of glacial debris that marks the southward line of glaciation/ice sheet. You can dig fossils in Republic for a small fee.



Basically, the Scablands cover from the Idaho Border to the crest of the Cascades. The Missoula Flood went from Missoula, MT to Portland, OR. There is a flood eerratic near Portland that is granite from the northern Rockies, carried by the flood.

 

You could spend a month exploring! Been here 20+ years and did many projects there while I worked for DOI (Interior). Still exploring the area.

If you come, be careful! There are temperature extremes (up to 110 right now=minus 20 during the winter), rattlesnakes, a few grizzlies and moose in some areas, abandoned mines, and a few "meth camps"! Snow can come during any month except July (we needed 4WD on Sherman Summit one Memorial Day on a paved highway) and North Cascades Hwy over Early Winter Pass can close anytime from November 1 (or even earlier due to snowfall) and reopen as late as the 4th of July.

Don't want to scare you==normal precautions and preparations will see you through without problems! I'm probably "preaching to the choir"!
