I realize this is a very basic question, but is there a way to turn off the interior lights and in particular the tailgate light? I have an SUV tent that works with the tailgate as part of the tent. My worry is that the battery will drain if the tailgate is left up. I have a 2021 ORP.

The tailgate lights have switches on each that allow to be turned off. However, the interior lighting is on a timer (inside a computer) that will turn off after a set period of time. You can test this in your driveway by leaving a door or tailgate open and after a few minutes you will see them turn off. This information should be in your owner manual.

Thank you. I appreciate it. As for the owners manual, I have to admit that I have given up on it as it is one of the most poorly written manuals I have ever read.

I agree. And a very dry read at that. It will put you to sleep in a very short time!
