    Hello Toyota family!
Just wanted to pick some brains...I have a 2015 4R and currently riding on Bilstein 5100 on all wheels. In the front, they are on the third setting, giving me around 2 inch lift, and in the back I have 1.5 inch cornfed lift.

The problem is my coils are sagging and I am losing my lift height , specially in the front, so I am looking for some new coils. There are a million choices out there but wanted the best bang for the buck and have some questions...

    1. I am looking for a 2.5 inch lift in the front and maybe 2 inch in the back to level out the truck. (Do not want rake) From experience, can anyone recommend a good quality coil that will not break the bank? There's Bilstein, Dobison and others but wanted to know if there is any noticeable difference in ride quality on/off road.

    2. Also, in the front, with the new coils, do I need to bring the shocks back down to stock height setting so when I install the new bigger coil it will give be the desired 2.5 inch lift?

    Front -

I have used this spring in front without the spacer to get 2.5in lift. No complaints. (Later I changed to a different suspension kit)

    Rear -

With my experience for rear stock springs + 1.5in spacer or stock springs + 2in spacer or new 1.5in springs without spacers will give you a good ride comfort. When you go for a 2in spring the rear tend to be little firm side (not uncomfortable) unless you have a very good / hi-end like suspension to keep the ride comfort.

*** I'm not a suspension expert, only a customer and don't know any technical stuff. Just sharing my experience. I can be wrong.

I'm running 5100's on my 2021 OR and changed from OEM springs with the shocks set at the .85" setting that gave 1" of front lift to Dobinson springs.

I used the Dobinson C59-302 in front that is advertised to give 2.5" with stock weight and 2" with 110-150 extra weight (bumper, winch, skids etc). I have the extra weight and got 2" lift in the front with the 5100's set at OEM height letting the springs do the lift. I used Dobinson C59-599 in the rear that is advertised to give 1" with stock weight and got 2". I also used JBA UCA to ensure a good alignment but generally not required with a 2" lift in the front.

I'm happy with the lift height and ride quality. The Dobinson run about $220 for front and same for rear.

    Cheers,
    Bob

Dobinson, im using c59-300 front spring. Just watch out with the rear springs, most rear springs lift more then advertised(atleast my eibach rear coils did)

Also if you don't want rake, your front needs to be 1.5"-1.75" higher then the rear

Thanks for the input. I was between the toytech, BillStein, or Dobison. Did you drop the diff when you had the toy tech upfront?
