So i really want a trd pro for 2023, I called all the msrp in California where I live (longo, crown toyota and walnut creek) they all told me they won't take any deposits on a pro, walnut creek told me they won't even take trd deposits. Does anyone have a lead on where I can put a deposit that will sell to a California resident? Thanks

Where ever the heck you want! Last I checked. It's still a free Republic, you make a deposit on what YOU want & tell the dealership that You're the buyer!! He's the seller & there's plenty more of them vs me/us today!! Good Luck & hope you don't get hosed:facepalm: Unless $$ isn't an issue! :rolleyes:Keep us up to date eh!!!

I tried several local dealership. Just out of curiosity locally.
Not even my servicing dealership sales manager replied. That speaks volumes.

Have you noticed most manufacturers are back to normal for the most part, I think toyota is artificially keeping the manufacturing down on the 4runner to grow demand for the 6th gen. All the dealers I spoke with pretty much had a "well if you don't like it go pound sand and suck an egg we have a thousand guys on the list already that will pay whatever we ask" mentality.

The economy is still goofy as hell, people are still gobbling up trucks at 5 or 6 dollars a gallon for gas.

They are, but I think part fo this is dealers knowing the economy is about to take a giant shit. Why take deposits on vehicles they aren't sure they can get and then ahve to refund that money when buyers can't afford the purchase? Don't worry. Writing is on the wall. Example is the RV industry. Rentals are down. Sales are down. Repairs are down. Used listings are way up. My guess is 2023 Pro's will be available back in the $50k's again soon. It will be a buyers market soon. 2008 again but for different reasons?

Toyota of riverside are a bunch of untrustworthy scumbags. Rather have no pro then ever buy from them

I was told at Toyota of North Hollywood that they can’t take a deposit before they have a VIN to attach it to. Hence the wait for allocations.

Before covid I tried to purchase a trd premium thru them via the Costco program. When I went there they realized they would have to sell below invoice, the sales guy said they wouldn't, i asked for a manager and of course he "wasn't available but would call me". A manager did call me a few hours later and told me to come back and when I did they of course "sold it", not even an apology for blatantly lying and wasting my time. When covid hit, they're one of the worst offenders go as far as markup. Look up the reviews on them even on this site, they have an extremely bad reputation deservedly so
